Maui Stables Hana
As Hawaiian history is consistent with your language, all of our important events were recorded orally through chants. These chants will be used extensively through out the tour, and each guest will be given the basic intent. The small group size of our Maui horseback tours allow for this oral tradition to continue as we share the history of our ancestors.
Kakahiaka (am) From a time not so long ago, there exists a relationship between a people and their nature. A relationship that dictates the very deeds and actions of a people subjected only to the belief that they are here as part of the whole -- not a dominant force, but a contributing force -- a participant in the larger scheme of life. Reverent, humble, participating caretakers of this land called Maui. Never more entitled to be here than the wind and the seas, inherently more concerned about preserving not only this philosophy, but also the resources for future generations, as our ancestors before us had done. Kanaka Maoli we call ourselves -- the real people -- dedicated to the role of Kia'i, or caretakers of this aina.
